If you love French food, gardening, unearthing lovely things, France, the countryside, historic places, farmers markets, Christmas wreaths, the city of Paris, crockery, floral art, the Conran Shop, Le Bon Marché, La Grande Épicerie, old quaint villages… if you do not care about trendy things too much yet love beautiful and timeless objects, then this place is for you.

Being away from France for a few years at university (in England and in the U.S), I used to spend part of my free time in the « Home » section of various department stores or in small artisan boutiques to help me create a home far away from home. This got me addicted to anything related to the concept of art de vivre. And to my wallet’s great despair, I kept this bad habit when I settled in France a few years later.

While I am living and working in Paris during the week, I am lucky to be able to spend time at my family’s country house on weekends and enjoy “fun countryside activities”.

I would love this blog to be a place where I share with you the simple French way of living whether I am in the capitale or on the muddy paths of the campagne française.
